Mixing Patterns with Lace on Plaid

Modavracha lace on plaid outfit

Happy Sunday lovelies, hope you had a great weekend. So, for church service today i took one of those fashion or rather style risks mixing patterns with lace on plaid. While there aren’t any enforceable rules in fashion and style, one still has to evaluate some mix and matches before wearing them to avoid looking like a masquerade or completely out of place.Styling plaid with lace

This is actually a dress sent over to me by the good people at Ever-pretty. Ever-pretty is an online store with 10 years experience in the fashion industry, serving thousands of customers across the globe. They offer personalized service of customizing dress lines for clients to create a unique shopping experience and their products can be found on Sears, Amazon, etc.

This lace dress is a lovely cocktail dress no doubt but wearing it as a dress would be too normal, obvious and expected but wearing it as a top instead especially with a printed bottom is the real challenge as lace isn’t the easiest choice of fabric for combos. If you can remember, this isn’t my first time of wearing a dress as a top, if you can’t remember, I’ll refresh your memory, check out the previous styles in this blog post and this blog post, I’ve also worn a dress as a bottom instead in this blog post. I had faith that the outfit would turn out fine and it did. Coincidentally faith was the main topic in church today. [pullquote] Faith
Hebrews 11:1-3
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible”.[/pullquote]

I don’t know if you’ve noticed that I have been improving my visual contents on the blog, my graphics and photo editing.  For these photos, i played around with some of the lightroom presets that i’ve been working on and finally settled for this cool tone.  I figured since i was mixing patterns with lace and plaid, i can as well mix filters and colors in the photos, so what do you think of everything?
