Kimono Shorts Outfit – A Bohemian Touch

I’ve been investing in two piece outfits lately if you remember from my last co-ord set outfit. As I mentioned earlier, I invested in some kimono sets this year and this kimono shorts outfit is one of them.

This is my very first kimono shorts outfit and I’m totally loving it. I bought the fabric from same person I bought the fabrics in my last co-ord outfit and my convertible denim dress. Portia (blogger turned seamstress) sewed the kimono and shorts for me. I wanted a different look from the regular kimono sets so I added my hat and strappy heels.

My wood watch would have been another great addition to this kimono shorts outfit because of the color but sadly, I mistakenly broke the wristwatch. As it’s made from wood, I don’t even know if it can ever be fixed. It was my only surviving wristwatch now I’m on a hunt for a replacement.

So, I wore my kimono shorts outfit to a late lunch date and karaoke night with a friend and colleague few days ago. One of the people that actually made my one year housemanship experience better (Thank you for everything Farida!). While waiting for our order, she took these photos of me and just as we were headed back to our seats, my order arrived.

She ordered peppered goat meat with chapman while I ordered peppered snails and fries with chapman. We literally order the same thing always, lol. I should explore the rest of the menu soon. Who else has a comfort zone (a particular order) when it comes to certain cafes and restaurants?

I remember the peppered goat meat we bought during Nigerian flavours 2018 that nearly drove me insane. Peppery food ain’t my thing but sometimes I eat the whole damn thing while crying especially if the food is really nice or my only available option. Subsequently, I’ll suffer the consequences but I’ll be glad I had the food. Weird right?

Later that evening, we met up with another friend and colleague. I switched from my heels to the flats in this outfit and removed my hat for karaoke night. It was my first karaoke night in Nigeria. The last karaoke night I had was few days to Christmas in 2015 during a friend’s birthday party. We sang mostly Christmas songs.

I was excited about karaoke night again and It was a fun day but I’ll be sure to practice and choose better songs for the next Karaoke night. Don’t even ask me why (I didn’t disgrace my village people, I promise!). If you’re not following me on Instagram (@modavracha), you totally should. Some moments are better captured and shared via Instagram stories plus the opportunity to shop some items from my closet.
